Namco Classic Collection Vol. 1 is a 1995 arcade game compilation developed and published by Namco. It includes three of the company's most well-known games from the early 1980s — Galaga (1981), Xevious (1983), and Mappy (1983) — alongside brand-new "Arrangement" remakes of these games that have updated gameplay, visuals, and sounds. The arcade originals are also modified slightly to end after a certain number of rounds. (stole this from wikipedia)
Note: I left on the Easy mode by mistake, as far as I know it just makes the trampolines take double the bounces to break.
Note 2: Thumbnail screenshot doesn't come from the video, it was just too blurry to use a frame from the video itself. Sorry for slightly misleading you!

My review/thoughts of the game:
This is like the Super Mario All-Stars of Mappy except it is a bit innovative, from the new worlds and mechanics to the Robot Goro Boss Fights!? It took the original 1983 arcade game formula in a newer direction.
Honestly, I can appreciate the newer things that they tried doing with this game, like the boss rounds and the vertical bonus stages with those troll balloons that aim to waste your time/mislead you. devilish stuff.
The different Meowky designs are funny, like the one wearing sunglasses.
Goro wearing a sweater is also awesome.
The things I don't like about the game are how hard they tried making the boss rounds work, the patterns and stuff feel too strict and you can die really easily if not careful, the laughter of the Goro Robot only torments you more.
Some of the newly designed levels are kind of an eyesore, like the toy mansions color palette, the mechanical stages have this very fast background that is distracting too.
The Candy Mansion and Casino Mansion stages look pretty nice though, the Goro with those colors in the top most row is a really cool idea, reminds me of World Bowser from Super Mario 3D World, though the background colors still aren't very pleasant to look at.
They also got the Pac-Man cherries in the top row too.
The Log House is pleasant to look at at least.
Bonus Stages look cool though, the starry background makes you think you're in space or something.
Some song reviews:
Western Style Mansion: It's like the super mario all stars take on the theme, just a nice version of the main theme using samples. (also new drums where there wasn't any, pretty cool.)
Toy Mansion: Has a sort of Topsy Turvy thing going on with the progression, pretty cool. The bells also sound nice with the complimenting counter melody flute.
Log House: It's weirdly home hitting for me and I like it.
Candy Mansion: Has a "sweet" feel to it, really nailing in the 'Candy' vibe. lol
Casino Mansion: has a fast jazzy feel to it, fun melody, just feels a little empty due to no flourishes playing during the melodies, feels kinda solo compared to toy mansion for example.
The backing pianos are nice though.
Mechanical: The theme reminds me of the Nintendo DSi's general system music, it has that sort of wackiness going on for it in the beginning, the melody is weird though, but the B section is awesome.
Ending the review:
I think if you only really played the original mappy and wanted something newer to check out, check out this game.🐭
