In honor of Bastille Day, here is a monologue from Christopher Marlowe's "Massacre at Paris," written in 1592, about 20 years after the event occurred. Although Bastille Day was not until 200 years after the Massacre at Paris. I portray Henri, Duke of Guise and include a phony French accent. I also included sub-titles incase my phony accent is to heavy. The quotes at about 2:00 are the only original French in the script and I replaced "fie" with "merde." I also don't draw my sword until almost the end at 3:50🗡
