CINCINNATI (Joe Webb) -- Cincinnati Police want to get Jennifer Herth off the street. Shes the prime suspect in five thefts where she tricked elderly victims into giving her a ride.I think its probably the lowest form of crime, Detective Pam Clark told Local 12 Wednesday morning, March 25. Its basically taking advantage of somebodys grandmother.Clark said Herth waits in parking lots in Covedale and Green Township for elderly women to go to their cars. She confronted 87-year-old Marion Pearson last month as she waited in her car while her husband got a haircut. She convinced Pearson she needed a ride or she would lose her job. Pearson gave her the ride.I wanted to help this person and she turned around and stabbed me in the back, Pearson said, fighting back tears. Took my wallet and everything that was in it. Pearson quickly canceled her credit cards but not before Herth had bought gift cards at a local Kroger store. Herth is the suspect for similar thefts at a Green Township Walgreens store and doctors office. Detective Clark said the Hamilton County Sheriffs office is investigating two additional cases. She believes there are more victims out there who have not reported the thefts. Clark said Herth has 19 outstanding misdemeanor warrants and a felony warrant.
