The first Saturday in November is International Temples Day.
On this day we celebrate the work of the International Temples Project inaugurated by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to facilitate the growth and development of Kadampa Buddhism throughout the world.
This year the celebrations are particularly poignant as we reflect on the unsurpassed deeds of Venerable Geshe-la, who entered into the clear light in September 2022.
Through the force of Venerable Geshe-la's sublime intention and his tireless compassionate activities, the foundations of modern Kadampa Buddhism are now laid in this world. And a whole generation of inspired disciples is dedicated to continuing this precious work into the future.
