A recent fungal meningitis outbreak has been linked to tainted steroids as developed by the New England Compounding Center. Some recipients of the injection have been experiencing symptoms of fungal meningitis, including sore throat, fever, headache, joint pain, and more. The disease is non-communicable, but has been known to spread to other joints in infected patients, causing severe illness and even death in a number of cases.
