UPDATE: I filed a dispute, using all the information contained in this video, and was still DENIED. Yes, Soundcloud denied my dispute on absolutely ZERO actual infringement.
The other day I had a track removed from Soundcloud that had zero relation to what the claim was. The claim said I had uploaded "When We Were young" by Adele, however what I uploaded was an instrumental of my Adele remix, with zero Adele vocals, samples from the original or replayed hooks or melodies. In essence it was my drums, my bass, my pads and piano (which was NOT playing any of the music from the original).
The ONLY relation to Adele, was in the title of the upload.
So I tried it again on my other profile, this time with a super generic track with basic elements and a goofy vocal from a text-to-speech demo, but titled it the same and sure enough... Same outcome. Soundcloud removed it because Beggars Group Digital claims I had violated their copyright by uploading the track in the title, when in fact, what I uploaded was the track I will play you in the video which couldn't have less Adele in it if it was a Pantera record.
This time I documented everything in a fun little video.
Soundcloud, I shake my head vigorously at you. If you are going to take money from users, at least have real people listening to uploads before you remove them and issue strikes. Especially content that do not violate any copyrights or terms in any way. You have become everything you claimed not to be.
