Plot:
In the wake of the events of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mikael Blomkvist is hired by Henrik Vanger, a wealthy industrialist, to investigate the disappearance of his niece, Harriet, 40 years ago. Blomkvist teams up with Lisbeth Salander, a young woman with a troubled past, to track down Harriet.
As they investigate, Blomkvist and Salander uncover a web of corruption and violence that stretches back to the Second World War. They also find themselves in danger from those who would do anything to keep the truth hidden.
Based on the novel of the same name by Stieg Larsson. The novel was published in Sweden in 2005 and was translated into English in 2008. The film was released in Sweden in 2009 and in the United States in 2011.
