This video, for residents and fellows gives a simple approach to the diagnosis of subepidermal blisters with particular reference to the differential diagnosis of bullous pemphigoid and epidermolysis bulls acquisita. It highlights the role of split-skin indirect immunofluorescence and type IV collagen immunoperoxidase antigen staining in making this distinction. Electron microscopy & electron immunochemistry are included in this presentation.
