The University of the Philippines (UP) is a state university system in the Philippines. Founded in 1908, UP has eight constituent universities located throughout the Philippines, offering a wide range of academic programs in various fields.

Tuition at UP is free for all Filipino students, thanks to the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act of 2017.
