The Atkin 'the Nineteen' Aged is a small body slope shoulder guitar that is new to the Atkin line-up. The name comes from the year this model was invented, namely 2019. 'The Nineteen' is an idea by Rudi Bults beautifully developed by Alister Atkin.
The idea was to build a guitar that fits right between the '43' and the LG2. In terms of shape, it takes the body of 'The 43' but then scaled down to a 15 inch body making it sound more powerful than you might assume when picking up this relatively small guitar.
Despite the somewhat smaller body, it still features that typical slope shoulder force in the mid section, but is better balanced with the highs and lows and has improved response and dynamics.
This is the ideal guitar for the singer songwriter who finds it difficult to handle a larger body. Considering nowadays, very different from before, 50 percent of all new guitarists/ singer songwriters are female, and hence we feel this impressive sounding guitar must quickly find its own audience.
Like most Atkin guitars, the finish is slightly aged with a baked Sitka spruce top assure an even opener tone and attractive appearance. Comes with the luxurious Atkin case.
