Narayana Nethralaya and Acer’s VisioNova - Offering hope to children with Cortical Visual Impairment!
Cortical Visual Impairment or CVI is a form of blindness that is caused by damage to the pathways between the eye and visual centers of the brain. In children with CVI, the eyes are able to see but the brain is unable to correctly process or interpret what is being seen.
Narayana Nethralaya's social initiative, provides specialized therapies to help children with CVI develop and improve motor, cognitive, and visual abilities that can enable them to be independent and productive. VisioNova, a joint initiative of Narayana Nethralaya and Acer, is a PC + tablet-based software that offers access to remote therapy for CVI patients under the mentorship of Narayana Nethralaya’s CVI experts. NN is proud to partner with Acer to provide this alternative to on-site therapy which can improve the deficient skills and visual abilities of children with CVI, and help them lead a better quality of life.
