After the tragic Kathua terror attack on the Indian Army’s convoy that killed five soldiers on July 8, residents have called for the appointment of Village Defence Guards (VDGs) to combat terrorism and support the Indian armed forces. The residents also criticised Pakistan for its alleged involvement in terror activities.
