in this video we talked about 6 steps i’m taking to get my goal sat score of a 1340!
step 1: use your resources
use the free resources that the college board and SAT give to you. Blue Book and Khan Academy are great FREE resources to help your SAT score.
step 2: don’t over study, but don’t under study
it’s important to find a good balance of studying and giving your mind a rest. if you study 24/7 you are going to burn out and not feel motivated. we need to form an appropriate study plan where we are working hard enough but not too hard
step 3: take practice test
ik it’s hard to take a 3 hour practice test on your own free time but it is the most beneficial way to study. it is the exact replica of the actual test. it’s important to treat this test like the real thing. wake up early one day and take the test all the way through! you got this
step 4: go over all the questions you got wrong on the practice test
you have to completely understand why you got a certain problem wrong and understand how to get it right. If you don’t learn you will make the same mistakes on every practice test you take.
step 5: don’t study the things you already know
by this i mean to make sure you are studying things that are difficult for you. if something is easy for you, don’t spend all your time going over it. even though its not fun you have to go over the content that’s hardest for you so that it will become easier one day!
step 6: (my fav) romanticize you study routine
making studying fun and fall in love with the process. go to a coffe shop, light a candle, make it an enjoyable experience. you are studying to improve yourself so act like it is a form of self love!
that was all the things i am going to implement in my study routine! i’m using this video to keep me accountable and i hope it helps you do the same! you are not defined by a score and as long as you put in the work and try your best, everything will work out.
