I watched the 1987 film Mannequin, starring Kim Cattrall, Andrew McCarthy, James Spader, Meshach Taylor, Estelle Getty, G.W. Bailey, Carole Davis, and many others. I honestly expected this film to be much weirder, more cringy, and just worse than it turned out to be. For some odd reason, I totally bought into his relationship with the mannequin!
