When the 007 Movies premiered on Network TV in the US, they were HEAVILY edited. Most infamously is On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which was shown as a 2-parter and re-edited in a different order with narration. The other classic movies were chopped up good too, Goldfinger is missing over half of its opening scene for example. But Thunderball had many edits done to it as well for violence and sex/sexual innuendo. I got ahold of an old airing from 1978 and edited the prologue together using the blu ray footage. Right off the bat, the opening gunbarrel is cut, the dots roll across the screen and then cut straight to the beginning. You'll see other edits as well.
