If you do the math on whether to pre-order or buy the Standard Edition of Icarus, or the Deluxe Supporters Edition, it doesn't quite add up.
The base game is £21.41, so even if the two announced DLC map packs, "New Frontiers" & "Dangerous Horizons" are the same price each to buy separately, that's still less than the Deluxe Version that includes them.
Sure, the more expensive version also includes a fancy skin for your Prospector Character, but that can't justify the difference.
The answer is that the Deluxe Supporters Edition of Icarus also includes two Outpost Levels - 1km x 1km Sandboxes of the Forest & Arctic Biomes where you could practice and build on Icarus without the threat of Storms knocking down your buildings, or animals eating you.
You'll be able to invite friends into these Outpost Levels too, to show them your creations and experience the Sand Box together!
