China sent a Zhongxing-9B satellite into space atop a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 19:50 local time (1150 GMT) on Thursday.

The satellite has entered its predetermined orbit, marking the launch mission is a success.
