Should software engineers be worried, no.

AI is built by software engineers, and it'll need software engineers to maintain it.

Not just that, but the majority of the software in the world will still need software engineers to maintain it as well, so if there's one group of people that won't be replaced by AI for a very long time, it's software engineers.

Those in roles that aren't technically skilled though, have a lot more to fear. But the main way to keep from making AI replace your job, is to learn to use AI to do your job more effectively.

And the best way to keep from fearing AI replace your job, is to learn a technical skill that's not easily replaced by AI like software development.
