We are so happy to be in India during Diwali. Having the opportunity to experience Diwali for the first time with a wonderful group of staff and travellers at Dreamyard inn Udaipur was great.
Diwali is the biggest and most important holiday of the year in India. It is a festival of lights that celebrates the victory of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.
On the main day of Diwali, people worship Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. They also light diyas (oil lamps) and candles throughout their homes and businesses to symbolize the victory of light over darkness.
Diwali is also a time for feasting and celebration. People exchange gifts, visit family and friends, and enjoy delicious food.
