On Wednesday, June 12, NRG hosted its 9th Annual Media Charity Flag Football Game. Over 20 members of the media, along with members of each nonprofit, took part to donate $36,000 on behalf of the players to NRG’s four original Choose to Give partners. This year marks the 7th anniversary of the Choose to Give program, which allows NRG customers to choose energy plans that benefit one of four nonprofits. When customers sign up, NRG makes a $50 contribution to the nonprofit and then makes an ongoing 1% contribution of the supply portion of the customer’s bill for each year they remain a customer.
