Yamaha's DX7 was a game-changing synthesizer. It outsold its competitors by a factor of ten, and was so ubiquitous that it appeared on a large majority of every hit song in the 80's. There are tens of thousands of great DX7 patches out there for the downloading. In this video I talk about the history of the DX7, demonstrate some factory patches on my Montage M, then demonstrate how to take DX7 patch files and load them into your MODX, Montage and Montage M.
