We are extremely pleased with the bidet seat overall, as it has exceeded our expectations. However, we encountered some challenges during installation when using the provided 3-way adapter tee connectors. Despite trying different fittings, hoses, washers, and teflon tape, we experienced leaks. Following the advice from a previous review, we decided to purchase the Tecmolog 3-way 3/8" and 1/2" Adapter Tee Connector from Amazon for $12, and it made the installation process much easier and leak-free.
Initially, we struggled to figure out how to open the back of the remote in order to install the batteries. We were concerned about potentially damaging it, but we discovered that prying it open with a thin knife, starting from the top and carefully working our way around the edges, did the trick. The provided magnet holder with sticky-backed tape proved to be sufficiently strong for mounting the remote on the sink cabinet.
As frequent travelers to Japan, where bidet toilets are prevalent, we have used numerous bidet seats and toilets. This particular seat offers excellent positioning for washing and is user-friendly, with all functions working effectively. We purchased it for our elderly mother who has Parkinson's and now requires assistance with toileting. She appreciates the modesty and cleanliness provided by the spray wash feature. However, the markings on the remote are too faint for her to see without her glasses, which she doesn't wear at night. To address this, we applied dot stickers labeled "F," "R," and "D" over the main function buttons for Front, Rear, and Dry, respectively. This solution has been effective for her. The preset water flow and heat settings work well for her without needing constant adjustments.
The seat itself is easily removable with a release button, facilitating convenient cleaning. It's important to note that if someone requires grab bars for assistance with standing after using the toilet, this bidet seat is not compatible with bars that need to be attached under the toilet seat (as most do). We ordered the OasisSpace Stand Alone Toilet Safety Rail, and although we were initially concerned about its stability, it has proven to work effectively for our mother.
We are highly satisfied with the bidet seat and its performance, and we are already planning to order a second one for the powder room on the main floor as soon as we can connect it to an electrical outlet on the adjacent wall.
