A 35-minute YogaYog Practice involving variations of Pawanmukta asanas – a widely known group of poses in classical Yoga for all age groups.
The term ‘Pawanmukta’ has been derived from the Sanskrit words, Pawan, meaning "wind" and Mukta, meaning "to release or let go". This group of asanas is concerned specifically with strengthening the digestive system. It can be an excellent remedy for people with indigestion, constipation, acidity, gastric issues, lack of appetite, diabetes, disorders of the male and female reproductive systems, and varicose veins. Pawanamukta asana also helps in eliminating energy blockages in the abdominal area.
At SRM, Sri Guru has always emphasized the subtler spiritual objective of Yoga; hence, the term ‘YogaYog' was coined— experiencing Union (Yog) through Yoga.
