For this activation I parked in the layby a short distance up the road from the pond in Hetton. There is a shorter ascent from the Farm Shop in Cracoe but I don't find it quite as interesting as this one.

The total walking distance is approximately 6.5 miles so I travelled light and used a Yaesu FT-25 2M FM handheld running 2.5W to a MFD (Multi Function Dipole).
