Throughout human history, Satan has used deception in order to keep people from trusting in God. He offers counterfeit saviors, counterfeit religion, and counterfeit security. During the Tribulation Period, the antichrist will be the final manifestation of Satan’s counterfeit kingdom. He will oppose Jesus by mimicking Him, in order to lead people astray. In reality, however, Satan's kingdom only leads to death. Jesus’s kingdom, however, is real and eternal, and His promises are always true. Therefore, the book of Revelation calls us to keep our hope and our faith firmly fixed on Jesus Christ.
