SRI LANKANS were relaxing and watching television inside the offices of the country's prime minister of Wednesday evening (July 13), after storming the compound to demand he step down.
Armed guards appeared to allow members of the public to walk around the building and relax in the garden, though cordons were put around some valuable items.
Outside, people queued to enter the gardens and the main building.
"This is not a struggle that spreada hate. This is a peaceful struggle. The whole world must see this as a peaceful protest because they are fighting for the future of children," said one man who attended the gathering at the prime minister's office.
