CC: It’s always a good idea to have a pelvic floor assessment after birth, regardless of whether you had a c-section or vaginal birth, or even regardless of whether it was 6 weeks or 16 years ago. We look at your posture, your hip and core strength, assess for a diastasis which is the splitting of your abdominals during pregnancy, and then look at any scar tissue from your csection or tearing you may have had, check for prolapse, and assess your pelvic floor strength and function. Whether you just want an assessment to see how you are recovering or advise on returning to activity, or to help with any post-partum issues like leaking or pain with intercourse, we can certainly help you with that. As always, don’t hesitate to call or email us with any questions!
