Impressions/observations during the test drive:
The ride comfort of the MG ZS Trophy is actually nice even over some bumps. Its interior quality is also very good for its price - there are many surfaces that are soft to touch and are not just plain hard plastic. There are more of these hard plastic surfaces in the Raize G and the Ecosport (vehicles in the same class as this ZS T that were previously featured in this channel). Its features are also better than those two - such as the 360-degree camera and the panoramic sunroof. The ZS T's ride is also noticeably smoother than the Raize G's. Its exterior design is sporty and minimalist with just a few subtle cool touches such as its LED lighting and a blacked-out grille. However, there were some fake exhaust design at the rear bumper.
The engine is powerful and fun to accelerate with (and to drive in general) for a small 3-cylinder engine, especially when compared to the 2022 Raize G and 2019 Ecosport that were previously featured in this channel. It is to be noted as well that the ZS T has a turbo and has around 60 horsepower advantage over the Raize G (and around 40 horsepower over the 2019 Ecosport) which are evidently contributory to this opinion. This vehicle's 6-speed auto is better than the Raize's CVT, too. Its transmission in manual mode is responsive enough for what it is although it would have been cooler with a pair of paddle shifters for manual mode and a drive mode selector like in the bigger HS Trophy, but the absence of these are not that of a big deal. The gas pedal and brake pedal of the car are responsive with inputs being received by the car reliably. Since it is a small car, the steering is light, which makes the car maneuverable around city streets. The car's 360-degree camera (which also turns on when the turn signals are activated) contributes to the ease of maneuverability of the vehicle, as well.
