Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Timbren axle-less trailer suspension system with the electric brake valves, and this suspension system provides a safe, smooth, quiet ride for your trailer. As you can see, it's two separate units, and these separate units are designed to replace your existing axle. The unit features the Aon progressive rate main springs, which are located right here. These are designed to absorb road shock and support the trailer's load. Really helps deliver a smooth, stable ride, regardless of your load size, and they do compress and become stiffer as the load increases, which boosts the spring's strength. It also features a rebound spring that acts as a return device to minimize rattle and those bottoming out situations. That really helps create constant pressure on the arm so that the suspension is never completely relaxed. So the nice thing about having two independent units is that it really eliminates the need for a through-axle in most cases.
Now, it also is designed to help increase your ground clearance. It can be used to help lower the deck height for easier loading and unloading, reduces roll during cornering, and really fits any trailer width. The units also feature the built-in camber and tell-in, which helps your trailer to track strength, and that really helps reduce wear on your tires. Slight adjustment and corrections may be necessary, and they do provide the shins that can be placed between the outboard arm and the control arm for those fine tune adjustments, if needed. When it comes to the spindles on the unit, it does feature the straight, easy loop spindles, and they do have the electric hubs on there. So, straight, easy loop spindles with electric brake hubs and assemblies are designed to accept wheels with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern, and regular tires. So these electric brakes are designed to offer more control, especially when compared to hydraulic brakes.
They require only an electric brake controller, which is sold separately. We have a lot of them available at etrailer.com, but there's no hydraulic lines or anything like that necessary with electric brake systems. The easy loop feature makes it really easy to grease the bearings without removing the hub. It's got a greaser located right here, so you can attach the grease gun, pump in the grease, and take care of maintenance that way.The spindles can also be removed from the units for simple replacement if they're ever damaged, and it does come with everything needed. So your bearings, races, seals, everything is included with the hubs. Also comes with grease caps with the rubber plugs, so that way it keeps things out of the hub, and you can remove those anytime you need to gain access to the greaser. We're looking at a really nice, heavy-duty steel construction with black powder coating, so it's designed to resist wear and corrosion. Lasts a long time.
Pretty simple to install, and to align. It is a bolt-on installation. It can also be welded to your trailer's frame. Now, when it comes to fitment, this is designed to fit one axle and two axle trailers that use regular tires. It's not recommended for triple axle applications, and the weight capacity is 3500 pounds. Now please note that the Timbren axle and suspension may require additional support on your trailer.
So if your trailer does not have a cross member above the spot where you wanna install the Timbren system, then you may need to reinforce the frame of your trailer. You can accomplish that a few different ways. First you can retrofit the trailer with a cross member. You can also build out the trailer frame, and you could also use a standard two inch steel tube to connect the Timbren suspensions together. Here at the back, you can see right here, it has a built-in square hole that runs the full width of this portion, and so what you can do is you can actually use two inch steel tube to connect the two Timbren suspensions together using that built-in square hole on each unit. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Timbren axle less trailer suspension system, with the electric brake hubs.
