Most teens don’t want to send or re-share nudes. They’re pressured into it to please boyfriends, prove themselves to friend groups, and seem mature, adult and cool. There’s an inner debate taking place that nobody sees, and unfortunately, social pressures are winning.
This public awareness campaign aims to show the internal debate that’s raging inside the minds (and phones) of teens. By showing these feelings of pressure, uncertainty and discomfort, we can make the negative impacts of sharing nudes real and relatable.
Asking for nudes isn’t okay and sharing them is even worse. It’s time we all start saying ‘no’ to sharing nudes, and call out the people who are.
