Adamantas or Adamas, the port of Milos, is built in the safe haven of a bay and is considered one of the largest natural harbors in the Mediterranean. The village was built in 1835 by Cretans who fled to the island after a failed uprising against the Turks. It is built in the traditional Cycladic architectural style. From the attractions in the area, it is worth visiting the church of the Holy Trinity, founded in the 17th century which stands out for its unique architecture and rare icons inside. The nearby beaches are Langada and Papikinou which have been awarded the Blue Flag - both are beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear waters.
