Traffic deaths are on the rise in Washington State with a record 810 traffic deaths last year, a 10% increase and the highest number of deaths since 1990. In King County, 167 people were killed in incidents involving vehicles in 2023.
King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci has introduced a proposal to make roads, trails, bike lanes and crossings safer for everyone. She joined 'ARC Seattle' hosts Tyrah Majors and Mo Haider to discuss her Safe System approach to traffic safety.
