The folks over at @Disney @StarWars have been gaslighting their fans and the broader press for weeks in their attempts to defend the #acolyte.
They have accused anyone critical of the show of being racist and even created an environment where critics pointing out floors in the show are now receiving death threats. For some reason, Disney executives are convinced this is appropriate behaviour and will result in acceptable outcomes for their PR and marketing efforts.
So, I have made a video where, in one scene with no prep time, I will demonstrate why the show is terrible. And prove that the criticism and low ratings are well-earned.
Scene two breakdown and improvement impro - [ Ссылка ]
On review while editing, I saw far more wrong than what I initially commented on. I didn't talk about the terrible acting, the continuity errors and the epic costs of a scene that fails to establish anything.
I mention this as on review. I think my criticism is actually too kind. But I couldn't bring myself to watch this scene again, so I will stand by my first take.
To comply with copywrite I heavily modified the video of the show.
01:22 - I watch the first scene and break it down
02:39 - Setting up a redemption arc for a serial killer because they pay $1, Dear Disney Murder is Bad
10:46 - Yo Disney Murder is Bad. Revenge is Bad. You can’t redeem characters who kill for their own selfish reasons.
11:16 - With no prep time, I improvise a better version of the scene. Keeping the core beats. I introduce the key characters; strong female antagonist and the Jedi master. I build empathy for the Jedi master with the audience, and I make the assassin sinister and an intelligent villain.
