Cryptocurrency mining has attracted people's attention especially over the last couple of months. Hackers, however, are taking advantage & tricking netizens into installing malicious apps. In a smart move, Google has recently identified these dangerous actors & removed them. 8 apps, posing as as cryptocurrency mining apps, have been removed from Google Play Store. As per Security firm Trend Micro, these apps were tricking victims into watching ads. Additionally, apps were making netizens pay for subscription with average monthly fee of $15. Trend Micro reported its findings to Google Play, following which the apps were removed.
