This is one of the first Flamenco alzapua falsetas one typically learns in Flamenco. There’s a million variations of course, but this is a typical version of the foundational phrase that typically can close out a falseta or be played on its own in a Tangos.
Alzapua is a unique Flamenco Guitar technique that uses the thumb in an up and down stroke motion on the strings, usually in a combination of single and multiple string hits.
They say that it was possibly influenced from the way middle eastern oud players use their picks in that style.
Have you tried this technique before???
