Pahandi rituals commenced for the Bahuda Rath Yatra from Gundicha Temple to Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri on July 15. Idols of Lord Jagannath and his siblings were placed on their respective chariots. The event marks the return of deities to the Jagannath Temple, concluding a nine-day journey of Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra. A large number of devotees gathered in Puri to witness and take part in the Bahuda Yatra. BJP MP Sambit Patra offered prayers during the Bahuda Yatra occasion. “Today is the Bahuda Yatra...It is a big day...A large number of devotees have gathered here for the yatra...We have prayed to Lord Jagannath to bless our state and country...,” said Sambit Patra.
