A young woman has gone viral on TikTok with her incredibly easy and stunning 70's hair tutorial.
Rose van Rijn, 19, from the Netherlands uploaded the video one day ago and has already received over 4k comments more than 390k likes.
Speaking to Jam Press, she explained, “I've been dealing with Chronic Lyme disease (CLD) since I was 11. I dropped out of school when I was 15 because I was too sick to continue, and I've spend the past years in bed.”
“I'm slowly getting better so I recently started a volunteering job to get back in to society. In this difficult time being sick at home I found a new interest in doing things 70s hairstyles.”
Rose says her biggest inspiration for the style came from none other than Swedish pop supergroup, Abba.
“I've always loved the hairstyles from the Abba girls and later on I did more research on 70s hairstyles and I fell in love! I love how you really bring out the best of your own hair,” she explained.
Revealing the process of her incredible hair transformation, Rose said, “First, I washed my hair, brushed and blow dried it, and blow dried my bangs into the right shape using a round brush.”
“Then I put rollers in my bangs to keep them in place. Then I sectioned my hair and rolled the pillow curlers in my hair. I took the rollers in my bangs out and went to bed.”
“The next morning, I took them out and brushed the curls out, put some oil to make them look shiny and that's it.”
Rose said she used a round blow dryer brush, which costs around 30 euros and can be found in plenty of retail stores, while the rollers were also bought from a drugstore.
"Lastly I used pillow curlers, I got them from wish years ago but they are available on Amazon as well," she added.
The stunning young lady said the entire process doesn’t take long and is “very easy once you get the hang of it.”
“I just put them in before bed, it takes me around 10 minutes, and I wake up the next morning and I'm done.”
Rose says that anyone can recreate the glamorous look at home but should keep in mind that that the curls will fall down a bit and won't stay curly all day.
“To be honest, I prefer it much more the second day!” she added.
