The rails, ribbons of steel that weave their way through Alaska's history, bind the glacier-crowned coastal mountains to the soaring interior heights of Mt. McKinley, and the gold rush country surrounding Fairbanks.
This Alaska adventure begins on the Anchorage to Seward run. We journey down the Kenai Peninsula along the breathtaking Turnagain Arm. Through the Kenai Mountains, we travel an incredibly scenic route that is accessible only by rail. En route, we meet some memorable local characters and take a thrilling aerial tour of Kenai Fjords National Park.
From Seward, we voyage out into Resurrection Bay where killer whales, otters, and sea lions are a common sight and great blue glaciers groan and heave giant slabs of ice into the frigid waters."
