Brexiteers were clear about leaving the Customs Union and Single Market before the Referendum.
During a debate with Sir Bill Cash MP, Stanley Johnson MEP and Lord Liddle on the day of the Referendum, Brexiteer spokesman Rafe Heydel-Mankoo couldn't have been more blunt:
Leaving the EU must mean NO Customs Union. Sir Bill Cash, agreed . No one can suggest this clip is uncertain or unclear.
Rafe Heydel-Mankoo also rebutted those snide individuals who tried to smear Leave voters as insular "Little Englanders".
The whole point of Brexit is to free the UK from a protectionist clique of "Little Europeans" so that we can once more turn outwards and engage positively with the world across the seas -- as we have always done so successfully in the past.
