Mounting the O-rings correctly for the oil filter insert OX 1141D is necessary for proper lubrication.
While the oil filter insert comes with all necessary sealing rings, their positioning can be mixed up easily, paving the way for engine damage.
The pin of the oil filter insert has three indentations. The O-rings should only be inserted into the front and rear seal grooves. Swapping the positions of the two O-rings or mounting them dry can lead to leaks inside the oil filter, an empty housing each time the engine is switched off, and a delayed build-up of oil pressure when starting up again.
