Recently, I received the macOS Catalina upgrade in the Software Update program. But, I learned a lot of complaints as well as personally faced issues with compatibility with existing software.
Hence, I decided to ignore the software upgrade however install the Safari and iTunes updates.
Here are the steps to update the Safari browser without downloading macOS upgrade:
1. Open the Software Update program
2. Check for latest available upgrades
3. Hit on More Info... link
4. Select the checkbox against Safari
5. Hit on [Install now] command button
6. The download will begin and installation will finish automatically
That's it. We have upgraded the Safari browser to the latest version without downloading the macOS update.
