Christianity is anthropocentric by nature holding the belief that man is special and separate from other sentient and rational animals. The Second century philosopher Celsus criticized this vain belief arguing that humans are part of the animal world and no more special than any other creature on the planet. God pays no more special attention to humans than he does to the rest of his creation and creatures.
