유엔, 이스라엘 정착촌 건설 중단 결의안 채택…美는 기권
Israel has slammed a UN Security Council resolution demanding a halt to the building of Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned it as shameful.
He said Israel wouldn't abide by its terms.
The vote passed after the U.S., Israel's main backer, chose not to use its veto.
A Palestinian spokesman said the resolution represented a victory for international law.
Prior to the vote,... U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said the resolution should be vetoed.
After the vote,... he tweeted "As to the UN, things will be different after January 20th".
About half-a-million Jews live in almost 150 settlements built since Israel's 1967 occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
