Dog lovers love their canines, but what would happen if the puppy you have isn’t a dog after all? Chinese-resident Ms. Wang found this out the hard way. Wang bought a dog that she believed was a Japanese Spitz. The puppy took her breath and heart away, and she loved him for many months. However, over time, his appearance took on another look. She said, his fur grew thick, its face became pointy and the tail grew bigger than a normal dog’s tail would. She said other pets appeared terrified of her “dog,” so she’d walk him on the leash. Confused, she sought an expert’s assistance. She took the pup to her local zoo, and a staff member was taken aback by what she saw. Wang’s puppy was actually a fox. According to the staff member, foxes, when they are little, can look like a puppy. However, as they get older, their tails get thicker and they release a terrible smell.
