After the protests by residents and activists the builder who allegedly uprooted a 200-year-old banyan tree at Calangute in June, nearly after a month the builder commenced restoration work of the tree on Thursday morning. The residents have requested the government to take action against such acts by the builders henceforth, in order to protect such age old trees. Watch.
