Welcome to today's video! In this tutorial, I'll show you how to build a pizza oven from start to finish, even if you have zero bricklaying experience. If I can do it, so can you! Stick around until the end for a full cost breakdown and to see some amazing pizzas being cooked in this oven.
Steps Covered in This Video:
1. Preparing the Area:
Clear and level the garden area.
Compact the soil using a manual rammer and a wacker plate.
2. Creating the Base:
Construct formwork with timber.
Pour and level the concrete base, reinforced with steel mesh.
3. Bricklaying:
Mark out and lay the bricks accurately.
Build the oven base with fire bricks and regular bricks.
Tips for mixing and applying mortar for bricklaying.
4. Constructing the Oven Floor:
Lay fire bricks on a sand bed for easy levelling.
Add insulation with ceramic fibre board.
5. Building the Oven arch:
Use formwork to create the arch shape.
Lay fire bricks and cut out for the chimney.
Reinforce with additional insulation and normal brickwork.
6. Finishing Touches:
Install the chimney and add a protective cowl.
Seal with mortar to prevent moisture ingress.
