The Houston Zoo will soon be home to a first of its kind exhibit showcasing the remarkable wildlife of the Galápagos Islands. After exceeding their $150 million goal for the Keeping Our World Wild centennial fundraising campaign, zoo officials announced the Friday, April 7 opening date for the major exhibit they say will immerse visitors in the environments evoking the archipelago's unique landscapes and oceanic habitats as well as highlight efforts to conserve and protect it.
