Crandon Park Beach is on Key Biscayne, Florida. The beach was a little void of activity on this day (Veteran’s Day). It is a well groomed beach but has suffered from seaweed near the shoreline recently. But, then again, most beaches in south Florida have been dealing with it too. Before going I’d suggest checking for a web cam to see the conditions of the water before going. There is a flat fee for parking compared to hourly parking like other beaches.

This two-mile long beach is one of the most popular beaches in Miami for locals and tourists alike. Consistently named among the top ten beaches in the nation, the beach features soft sand and the calmest waters in town. The beach area also has beach volleyball. There are concession stands and plenty of covered picnic areas with tables and public grills. Crandon Park also has beach cabanas available to rent on a first come first serve basis. The private cabanas provide a 10' x 10' space, a private shower and an assigned parking space.

FYI. The north end of the beach will require calling the Miami Airport if you plan on flying a drone. Update: 2018.12.08 - According to Airmap it is no longer in Miami airspace.
