Review of the Huawei P30 Lite after over a week of 'daily driver' use. I've been playing with this budget-friendly smartphone for a couple of months, but only now got around to fully testing the everyday experience. Unfortunately the EMUI launcher doesn't play well with Android, and Google's Pixel 3A is a stronger handset in most areas, including the camera tech and future updates.
Although boasting a triple-lens rear snapper, the P30 Lite isn't quite as good as the Pixel for night shots, HDR photos and video. Huawei's mobile isn't as slick on the performance front either, although the GPU Turbo feature means PUBG Mobile and other supported titles still play smoothly. Meanwhile this budget blower struggles when it comes to battery life, occasionally not making it through a full day.
