Contemporary artist Callum Morton speaks with Australian Aboriginal activist and academic Gary Foley during MRelay's first leg.

MRelay was a marathon conversation relay between leading thinkers, activists, architects and provocateurs that ran from 11am to 11pm at the inaugural MPavilion in Melbourne on Saturday 31 January.

This first leg – Pavilions, hosted by Leon van Schaik – ran from 11am to 1.30pm and considered the object, concept, gesture and act of pavilions as architectural interventions. Speakers included MPavilion patron Naomi Milgrom, inaugural MPavilion architect Sean Godsell, contemporary artist Callum Morton and Australian Aboriginal activist and academic Gary Foley.
